Yleiskatsaus
The Cisco ASR 5000 GGSN Administration and Configuration version 12.2 instructor-led course offered by Learning Services provides detailed instruction on how to manage, monitor, configure, and administer the Cisco® ASR 5000 to function as a Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN) in a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and/or Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network environment.

- Understand and use the StarOS command line interface (CLI)
- Understand contexts and context selection processes
- Perform initial system configuration, including administrative users, hardware redundancy, and remote management functions
- Perform basic data service configuration for both basic IP and PPP PDP context support

Following are the prerequisites for this course:
- Participants must have a thorough understanding of IP routing, networking protocols, and a basic working knowledge of applicable UMTS network operation.
Participant Material Requirements
Participants are required to bring the following materials to this training course:
- Laptop or notebook computer with:
- Terminal emulation program (such as PuTTY, available at www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/) capable of Telnet and SSH
- IEEE 802.11 (A,B,G,N) Wi-Fi interface
Participants are responsible for all travel and expenses.
